SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - An annual tradition continued Saturday night in Southwick.
The Southwick Firemen's Association carnival provides family fun while raising funds for scholarships as well as fire and EMS equipment.
The three day event celebrated its final night on Saturday with a parade.
“They got a lot of fire departments from surrounding towns to come down here and proceed and help out. A lot of the community came down to see what was going on,” said Keith Goyette.
Organizers faced some challenges with this year's event.
A last minute glitch with their amusement ride company prevented them from getting larger carnival rides.
Town officials also called off the fireworks that were scheduled to close the carnival on Saturday.
