WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Just when you think the 2012 Presidential race has ended, another race may have begun.

Experts are already discussing who we could see vying for the White House in 2016.

Some names that are being thrown around on the Democratic side include... U. S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vice-President Joe Biden, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. On the Republican end...2012 Vice-Presidential candidate Paul Ryan, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Political consultant Tony Cignoli of Springfield told 22News, "What's unusual here is that usually you get a grace period, a honeymoon period--whether you're a lame duck president or not. But these stakes are so high, that the billions of dollars that were spent on the this [recent] presidential race have got folks thinking they have to get in now four years out".

Part of the challenge for those who are interested in running will probably be trying to convince those, who are not yet ready to look ahead to the next election.

Many voters believe the focus should be on the one who just won re-election, President Obama.

"I'm actually really excited that he got elected. But some people maybe are trying to switch focus because they aren't", said Theresa James of Springfield.

While others agree it may be a bit too early to be talking about the next round of candidates, they say it doesn't hurt to think ahead.

"It doesn't hurt to start looking out there....Four years does comes fast", said Marie Zurheide of Holyoke.

It's also rumored that we could see Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick entering the race for President in 2016. But neither he nor his close political advisors have given any indication that this will be happening.
