Spring Valley Food Mart in Springfield robbed

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Police are searching for two men who robbed the Spring Valley Food Mart.

At around 8:30 Saturday night, two Hispanic men in their early 20's allegedly robbed the store, located at 353 Allen Street.

Captain Cheryl Claprood told 22News that one man had a gun and pointed it at the clerk.

That's when the other man jumped over the counter and grabbed $300 from a cash box.

They were both wearing ski masks and hoodies and were last seen running up Montgomery Street. It's not clear if they stole anything.
