SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Springfield police say they're ready to sniff out crime with the help of four new police dogs who will join the force next week.
Sgt. John Delaney says the police dogs and their handlers have been in training for the last two months.
They'll begin patrolling the city's streets Sunday, and all three police shifts will include a police dog patrol.
Police officials say the new additions bring the department's number of police dog teams to seven, and another two police dogs will join up in the spring.
