SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield mayor Domenic Sarno is expected to announce on Friday if the city will negotiate a host community agreement with MGM Springfield, Penn National Gaming or both.
Springfield Chief Development Officer Kevin Kennedy told 22News he is meeting with Casino Selection Advisory Committee members Thursday late afternoon. Kennedy is expected to deliver a recommendation to the Mayor or ask for an extension to make a decision.
An announcement by the Mayor is expected on Friday.
