SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Four armed robbery suspects are under arrest, after Springfield police say they were able to use a stolen iPhone to catch up with them.

It happened at 142 Dickinson Street at the Ambis Convenience Store.

At around 6:30 Wednesday night, three men and one woman wearing masks and holding guns entered the store. They allegedly stole money, cigarettes, a laptop and an iPhone.

But it was that iPhone that helped police eventually track them down.

Captain Cheryl Claprood told 22News that they used a GPS tracking app to find the location of the phone, which led them about a half mile down the road to 43 Kenwood Terrace.

It was there where police found the four suspects and some of what they allegedly stole inside.

Captain Claprood told 22News that one of the suspects tried to get away out the back door, but was instead greeted by state police dogs.

Arrested were 22 year old Jennifer Brown, 26 year old Jonathan Lopez, 20 year old Misael Lebron and 22 year old Kyle Randolph, all of Springfield.

They will be arraigned Thursday morning at the Hampden County Hall of Justice for armed robbery and various weapons charges.
