Springfield Police investigate two shootings overnight

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Two people are recovering at Baystate Medical Center this morning after being shot during overnight hours in Springfield.

The shootings occurred in two different parts of Springfield.

According to Lt. Henry Gagnon, shots were fired at 104 Stafford Street around 12:45 a.m.

A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in his stomach and both elbows.

He was taken to Baystate Medical Center.

About two hours later, another victim was shot in the shoulder at 282 Central Street and was taken to Baystate Medical Center.

The conditions of the victims are not known right now.
