SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - We now know the identity of Springfield's third murder victim of the year; Jessica R. Rojas.
She turned 25 Friday and was then stabbed to death in her apartment around 1:30 Saturday morning.
Captain Peter Dillon told 22News, the woman was still alive when police found her at her apartment at 132 Washburn Street in the cities Brightwood neighborhood. She died later at Baystate Medical Center.
Her boyfriend, 30 year old Jose Santiago, is now being considered a person of interest. Captain Dillon described them as having an on and off relationship.
A neighbor called 911 after hearing them arguing. This was Springfield's third murder of the year.
