Springfield teens arrested for East Longmeadow car break-in

Police looking into involvement in other thefts

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - East Longmeadow police arrested two juveniles early Monday morning for breaking into a vehicle and stealing a GPS.

Sgt. Daniel Bruno told 22News that the two Springfield boys, aged 15 and 16, were seen riding bicycles around 2:30am in the North Main Street and Gerrard Avenue areas.

They were wearing dark clothes and gloves and carrying backpacks containing stolen items, flashlights and tools.

Police are investigating whether or not the two are responsible for other car break ins in the area.

The teens are expected to be arraigned in juvenile court. Their names are not being released.
