Chicopee, Mass. (WWLP) - State Senator Gail Candaras of Wilbraham now represents a portion of Chicopee.

She got to know some of her new constituents.

The Wilbraham Democrat held a meet and greet at the Chicopee Public library.

The Massachusetts Legislature re-drew the boundaries of her Senate district.

"I'm a brand new senator for the people of Chicopee. I’m here this morning with coffee and donuts and other goodies to meet and greet the people of Chicopee and give them an opportunity to get to know me. ” Said State Senator Gail Candaras.

Senator Candaras was joined by Senators Jim Welch of West Springfield and Michael Knapik of Westfield, both of whom also represent a portion of Chicopee.
