AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Tuesday's storms are causing some damage and power outages in Western Massachusetts.

A tree is down across School Street in Agawam.  The tree is resting on a power line and a utility pole is snapped.  Agawam police are waiting for Western Massachusetts Electric Company to turn off the power, before the tree can be removed.

In Springfield there was a tree resting on some power lines on Viola Street, off of Berkshire Ave. in Indian Orchard.  The utility company was working to clear up the area.

In Franklin County, there are reports of trees and wires down in Montague

There also have been reports of trees down in Leverett and in Hatfield.

In Hadley, Plainville Road was blocked-off due to downed wires. Police reported a branch touching wires on Rocky Hill Road, and trees down also on Middle Street, East Street, and Maple Street (though those roads did not have to be closed).
