Students sent to hospital after school bus crash in Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Several children have been taken to Noble Hospital to be "checked out" after a school bus crash in Westfield.

Westfield police officer John Blascak told 22News that "The school bus collided with another vehicle on Jefferson Street near Washington Street.  There were children on the bus, and another bus was called to bring them to Noble for precautionary reasons." 

The bus accident happened at 3:21 PM Thursday. Jefferson Street is a narrow two-lane roadway. 

Blascak said anyone driving on that street Thursday afternoon should expect restrictions and delays.
