The "Big E" to partner with Hard Rock

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The state's casino application deadline is one week from Tuesday (January 15th). 

The 22News I-Team has more details about the "Big E's" major casino announcement.

The major announcement at the Eastern States Exposition will take place by the end of the week, according to multiple sources.  The "Big E" will partner with Hard Rock International. 

Hard Rock will begin moving equipment onto the "Big E" grounds on Wednesday to prepare for their announcement.

The proposal will include retail space, a large concert venue and other amenities.  A ramp to be built off of Route 5 will also be included in the project, according to a source. 

As of Monday the "Big E" board of directors were not commenting on a potential announcement.  Hard Rock International told 22News "no comment" on Monday as well.
