Things to do this Labor Day Weekend

(WWLP) - From traditional country fairs to celebrations of Portuguese and African-American culture, there are plenty of things to do in western Massachusetts this Labor Day Weekend. Here is a schedule of some of the larger festivals happening in the area this weekend.

Friday, August 31

Blandford: Blandford Fair opens at 3:00 P.M. with midway opening at 5:00 P.M., all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 10 North Street

Ludlow: Festa 2012 opens at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 438 Winsor St.

Northampton: 3 County Fair opens at 11:00 A.M. with midway opening at 1:00 P.M., all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 3 County Fairgrounds, 54 Fair St.

Springfield: Stone Soul Festival opens at 4:00 P.M., closing at 9:00 P.M. at Blunt Park

Saturday, September 1

Blandford: Blandford Fair opens at 8:00 A.M. with midway opening at 11:00 A.M., all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 10 North Street.

Holyoke: Great Holyoke Block Party , Noon-9:00 P.M. at Holyoke Heritage State Park Visitors’ Center, 221 Appleton St.

Ludlow: Festa 2012 opens at 1:00 P.M. with Saturday Mass at 4:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 438 Winsor St.

Northampton: 3 County Fair opens at 11:00 A.M., all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 3 County Fairgrounds, 54 Fair St.

Springfield: Stone Soul Festival opens at 9:00 A.M., closing at 9:00 P.M. at Blunt Park

Sunday, September 2

Blandford: Blandford Fair opens at 8:00 A.M. with midway opening at Noon, all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 10 North Street

Ludlow: Festa 2012 opens with open-air Portuguese Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 438 Winsor St.

Northampton: 3 County Fair opens at 11:00 A.M., all buildings close at 9:00 P.M. at 3 County Fairgrounds, 54 Fair St.

Springfield: Stone Soul Festival opens at 10:00 A.M., closing at 9:00 P.M. at Blunt Park

Monday, September 3
