FEEDING HILLS, Mass. (WWLP) - The Christmas month almost here, and that means it's prime time to pick a tree.
The DeCaro brothers have been selling trees, wreaths and poinsettias in Feeding Hills for close to 30 years. They average around 450 to 500 tree sales every Christmas season. But Joseph DeCaro told 22News it's a little less every year as more people go the artificial route.
“It's like an umbrella,” said DeCaro. “You open it up and then you put it away. Real trees make a little bit of a mess, but it gives you a lot better of a smell instead of using a fake smell that you spray around. I like a real tree because of the smell it gives to the house.”
He said they expect strong business Saturday and for the rest of the week at their Springfield Street location in Feeding Hills.
