WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Big E is billed as New England's "Great State Fair," and if you visit the Farm-A-Rama building, you can get a good look at the fair's agricultural roots.

Members of the Wilbraham-based Green Acres 4-H Club brought in floppy-eared bunnies for the public to see and touch; the bunnies were an instant hit.

There's lots to see in Farm-A-Rama; The Hallandale Clydesdale Draft Horses that weigh in at over 2000 pounds, and goats being shorn and cared for.

It's an opportunity for the people to reconnect with farm animals. According to Nancy Buddington, a Green Acres 4-h Club Leader, "And the Farm-A-Rama is the only building except for the Mallory where the public can actually touch the animals. So it's really important for the kids to bring their animals and show what they do. How much it takes to care for them."

Also, in the Farm-A-Rama Building, the kids can witness the cycle of life at the Chick Hatchery. Hundreds of eggs hatch baby chickens throughout the day.

Great educational entertainment for young and old alike.
