SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A warning for parents before they begin their holiday shopping.  Consumer group Masspirg released its 27th annual "Trouble in Toy Land" report Tuesday.

This year, the advocacy organization if focusing on the number one danger to small children, choking hazards.
Masspirg Spokeswoman Isabelle Goodman told 22News parents can use a simple toilet paper roll to determine if a toy's parts are too small.

"It's actually a little bit largers than this choke test tube but it will more adequately serve to protect children from rounded objects or things that they might think are near small parts.  That's a really good tool to use and every has one at home," Goodman told 22News.

Masspirg has also set up a website to give consumers information and warnings about toys. To view, click here .
