HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Police have charged Carlos Romero and Victor Pirela with shooting a man Wednesday night on Elm Street.
The victim is expected to be okay.
Shortly after the shooting, police raided an apartment on Sargeant Street and arrested seven people on charges of trafficking cocaine.
Lt. Matt Moriarty told 22News that Romero and Pirela were two of those people arrested. They now face additional charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without a license, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and use of a firearm in a felony.
So far, there have been no murders in Holyoke this year.
