One killed in 3-car crash in Willimansett

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - One person has died from injuries sustained in a three-car crash in Chicopee's Willimansett neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened before 3:00 near the intersection of Yelle Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. A second person was taken to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance.

The identity of the crash victim who died has not been released at this time.

An accident reconstruction team was called to the crash site following the accident. Chicopee Police Sgt. Victor Jeronimo told 22News that they are still investigating the crash one day later.
