PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - A Palmer police officer was being treated for injuries he suffered while he and his partner arrested a domestic disturbance suspect Wednesday night.

Palmer Police Chief Robert Frydryk told 22News the two officers searched for and found the suspect in the attic of a home on Calkins Road in palmer around 7:30 Wednesday night.  Chief Frydryk said they struggled and all three fell through the ceiling, dropping about eight feet.

"One officer suffered a separated shoulder and back injuries, and is being checked out at Baystate medical center in Springfield.  The suspect suffered less serious injuries and was brought to Win memorial in palmer," Chief Frydryk said.

The other officer's okay.   Chief Frydryk did not identify the officers involved nor the name of the suspect they arrested.
