(WWLP) - Veterans Day is held on November 11 every year, but because it happened to fall on a Sunday this year, it is being observed by government agencies and many private employers on Monday, November 12.

Here is a look at what is open, and what is closed on Monday:

  • Banks: Most closed (TD Bank branches are open, however)
  • BRTA: No bus service
  • City/Town Offices: Closed
  • Courts: Closed
  • FRTA: No fixed bus route service, John W. Olver Transit Center closed
  • Libraries: Closed
  • Malls: Open
  • Post Office: Closed
  • PVTA: Full service, except for certain UMass Transit routes .
  • Restaurants: Open
  • Retail Stores: Open
  • Schools: Closed
  • State Offices: Closed

Due to a clerical error, the Springfield Museums' website had stated that they would be open on Monday, November 11, though they are in fact closed for the day.
