CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - 22News viewers have been sending in photos of damage they experienced Monday from Hurricane Sandy's strong winds and rain.

Jai of Indian Orchard said a tree in her backyard came crashing down, almost missing her car.

Jayne of Blandford sent in a picture of a transformer sparking in the middle of the road in her town. She told 22News she was driving back to her house when she came across this road block on North Blandford Road, Monday night. Parts of Route 23 was shutdown during the morning commute due to downed wires and trees.

Tiffany of Palmer emailed us a photo of a downed tree blocking Nipmuck Street in Palmer. There have been reports of some limbs down on side streets throughout our area. However, crews have been working through the overnight trying to clear the way.
 
It was a close-call for Carol of Monterey--which is located in the southern Berkshire County. The Berkshires have experienced significant wind damage during this storm and have had the most power outages in all of western Mass. Carol said she had a front row seat when this tree came crashing down onto part of her roof Fortunately she is okay.
