WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Visiting officers have been arriving from out of town and out of state to pay their respects to fallen Officer Jose Torres. Many departments are being represented by their motorcycle divisions.
Bikes that came all the way from the Berkshires to Cape Cod were lined up outside of Firtion Adams Funeral Home .
The Danbury Connecticut police officers told 22News whether they knew Officer Torres or not, the brotherhood of the badge is what brings them all together Tuesday.
"Every day an officer puts his uniform on he's facing danger of getting injured or paying the ultimate sacrifice and losing his life. It really hits home when it's a brother or sister officer, so that's why we come out to pay our respects," said Sgt. Rory DeRocco of Danbury Police Department .
More visiting officers are expected to fall into the procession once it reaches Stanley Park .
