WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Thursday is Massachusetts Day at the Big E. In honor of the occasion, there are several state-related activities planned. The biggest one is aimed at residents at least 18 years of age.
If you haven't already registered to vote in November, you'll get the chance to do so while at the Big E. Secretary of State, William Galvin, is behind the efforts of bringing voter registration drive to the Massachusetts building on the fair grounds.
Starting Thursday, a voter registration booth will be setup near the exit wing of the building from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. The booth will also be setup--during those hours--on Sept. 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th.
The November 6th election is only 4 weeks away and the deadline to register is October 17th..
Also Thursday, Governor Patrick is stopping by the Massachusetts building at 1P.M. He's here to honor top industry leaders in the state tourism industry, at his annual conference.
