W. Mass. motorcycle insurance refund

Hampshire & Hampden residents receiving $180K

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - More than $2.8 million in insurance refunds have gone back to Western Massachusetts motorcycle owners.

Attorney General Martha Coakley announced today a total of 580 checks are going to Hampshire and Hampden County residents, worth a total of more than $180,000

The payments by Encompass, Amica, and NGM are part of AG Coakley's industry-wide investigation into motorcycle rating practices.

Consumers who think they may be entitled to a refund can use the Attorney General's Motorcycle Insurance Refund Lookup Webpage.
