WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The longest running crime watch group in Westfield held their 5th annual block party tonight.
To stay as an active crime watch group they must meet three days a year and hold a function.
This year they held a free movie night for the kids in the neighborhood.
Dawn Sienkiewicz told 22news crime watch groups are a great way to keep to keep neighbors aware of crime in the area.
“We had a rash of break-ins a while back and that’s what started us with the crime watch and we keep in touch with each other. Id we see something that doesn’t belong in the neighborhood we all keep an eye out,” Sienkiewicz told 22News.
