WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Westfield firefighters were able to quickly put out a bedroom fire shortly after 10:00 Thursday morning.

Westfield Deputy Fire Chief Mark Devine told 22News that the fire at 49 George Street started in a mattress. He said that smoking materials were the likely source.

According to Deputy Devine, everyone living there got out safely.
