Westfield police investigating after woman found dead near train tracks

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Westfield police are conducting an investigation near the train tracks on Turnpike Industrial Road, after finding a woman's lifeless body there.

Westfield Police Officer John Blasack told 22News that the woman, who is believed to be in her 70's, was found dead by the train tracks around 12:30 P.M.

He said that her cause of death is unknown, but he did say that she was not hit by the train.
