FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) - People from western Mass saw a familiar sight during the opening ceremonies of the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium Sunday, the Patriot Wing from Westover Air Reserve Base.

Members of the 337th Aerial Squadron out of Westover had the honor of performing a flyover for the Patriots just before kick-off.

The C5 you saw during Sunday's game recently returned from delivering supplies to troops in Afghanistan.

The New England Patriot team's logo has long been identified with Westover, the logo appears on the tail of the 16 C5 airlifters assigned to the base, and Westover is nationally known as The Patriot Wing.
