SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - If you were, "dreamin' of a white Christmas," your dreams came true this year.
Western Massachusetts woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground.
There were also reports of freezing drizzle which may have made for a slower drive for those traveling.
Overall, it was a treat to wake up to.
Andrew Schwartz of Springfield told 22News “It felt really good to wake up and see a white Christmas. it was just such a joy to all of a sudden think some wonderful thing.”
Kim Benjamin of Warren said “We used to have a lot more snow as a kid. I'm from here originally, so it's nice to see white on Christmas.”
Most communities saw at least a thin coating of snow.
