CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts has come to the aid of the children of Newtown, Connecticut.
Some Chicopee friends donated truckloads of teddy bears and other gifts to help Newtown's children during this very difficult time. They spent the morning buying every teddy bear they could find in the stores.
Andrew Mallioux of Chicopee told 22News, “If it was my kid or anybody that I know, I would like for somebody to do for me. I have a lot of younger kids in my family.I called my friends and put it on Facebook, to see how they responded and said let's do it.”
The convoy of teddy bear laden pick up trucks took the gifts to the Bushnell Auditorium in Hartford.
