SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts Electric Company has unveiled a new smartphone app that will help take the mystery out of selecting the right energy efficient bulb. It's called "Light Bulb Finder."

You enter information about a light fixture, current bulb and usage, and then the app recommends a single efficient bulb that best matches the desired appearance, light quality and usage.

Users can purchase efficient bulbs at discounted prices provided by WMECo directly through the app or at participating local retail stores.
