STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WWLP) - A young woman was brought to the hospital by helicopter Thursday, after she was thrown from her car in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge.

State Police Trooper Scott Driscoll told 22News that the woman's car had crashed into the median and rolled over near the two-mile marker. She was thrown through the window.

Driscoll said that a helicopter was called in and she was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He says that she was conscious and her condition was stable at the time she was being taken to the hospital, though police did not have an update on her status as of late Friday morning.

According to Driscoll, the crash victim was a college student in her early 20's.
