5 women celebrate 100 years of life

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - The 100 year olds club is starting to get crowded in South Hadley.

Five residents at South Hadley's Wingate senior center celebrated birthdays of more than one-hundred years of life.

All of them being women with ages ranging from one-hundred to one-hundred and three.

One-hundred year old Edea Zimnoch told 22news what her secret to a long life is.

“The secret to my life is surrounding myself with happy people and enjoy everyday,” said Zimnoch.

The birthday girls got to enjoy the day with a private luncheon that followed entertainment by singer Jimmy Mazz with family and staff.
