WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - The American Red Cross is helping six people in two families displaced by a house fire in Ware Monday.

Ware firefighter Chris Mason told 22News the fire started in the garage at 27 High Street Monday afternoon before the flames spread to a bedroom directly above it.  While there wasn't a lot of damage to the two-family home, Mason told 22News it was significant enough to have six people looking for some place else to stay.

Mason said fire investigators believe the cause was accidental.  No one was hurt.

Five animals were rescued as well.
