AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - Massachusetts state police have arrested Amherst crime lab chemist Sonja Farak of Northampton.
State Police charged the 35 year-old Farak with allegedly tampering with evidence at the crime lab located on the Amherst campus of the University of Massachusetts.
According to Attorney General Martha Coakley, it's alleged that the chemist at the Amherst lab removed a substance that had previously tested positive for cocaine, and replaced it with a counterfeit substance.
Troopers arrested Farak at her Northampton home at 37 Laurel Park late Saturday night.
