AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - You wouldn't know it by looking at them, but goats have a digestive system that any human would envy.

These goats at a North Pleasant Street Farm in Amherst can put away just about anything and they love eating Christmas trees.

Hope Crolius, the owner of the Goat Girls in Amherst, has invited people from Hampshire County to dispose of their Christmas trees at her farm. “Goats have amazing digestive tracts. They have a four chambered stomach. They have beautifully designed digestive tract.”

For the past two years she's been in the business of having her goats eat vegetation and brush at farms in the Amherst area.

And then completely by accident she discovered they had a real taste for Christmas trees, and devouring the tree needles is actually good for the goats.
