NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - In case it slipped your mind, Valentine's Day is next Tuesday.
For many Americans they head out to dinner for a romantic night out.
And if you forgot to make that table reservation, you might want to do that soon.
A survey from the restaurant booking site opentable.com finds that 53% of users planned to book a week ahead.
And many of those people were lining up tables for the actual day, but about a quarter of people are booking for this Saturday because it's easier.
At the Hotel Northampton, so far Saturday is the busiest night but they have people planning on celebrating Valentines Day any night Friday through Tuesday.
But reservations are booking up and this year is shaping up to be even busier than the past few years.
Courtney Caldwell says, "We're seeing people that are maybe skipping on the appetizers but maybe getting a bottle of wine and a nice meal and even sharing a dessert so it's picking up."
Space is filling up at the Hotel Northampton's two restaurants but there still are reservations available.
And if you don't get the night you want, you could try the sweetheart brunch instead.
