AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - The UMass Amherst campus is coming back to life, as students return to begin a new academic year.
The Class of 2015 is the university's largest ever, with about 4,700 students.
Friday, freshman like Natasha Andonullis of Newton took part in the fall orientation program and settled into their new surroundings. "I'm trying to have a really good time, I think this is the place to do it,” Andonullis said.
Returning students will start coming back this Sunday and Monday. UMass students get back to the books on Tuesday, September 6, when classes begin for the fall semester.
