NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Voters in Northampton, Amherst and Holyoke will see a ballot question called "Budget for All" when they head to the polls on November 6th.
22News is working for you with information on what that ballot question stands for.
"Budget for All" calls for cutting the defense budget, and using that money for other services like Medicare, Medicaid, social security and veterans benefits.
It also calls for letting the Bush-era tax cuts expire.
However, it does not have any immediate, direct impact on the federal law.
Dr. Marty Nathan says, “It demands that they demand of our federal representatives that they pass this budget, so we are going through the electorate to say this is the kind of budget that we want.
Towns surrounding Northampton and many communities in Berkshire County will have "Budget for All" on their ballots as well.
