Route 9 reopened in Ware after house fire

WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - Ware Police have reopened a section of Route 9 that was closed while firefighters worked on a house fire at 50 East Street Friday night.

The fire started just before 7:50 Friday night.   Ware Police reopened Route 9 at about 10:10 Friday night.

The Red Cross told 22News they're helping three adults and two children with food and shelter this weekend.

According to the Red Cross, five people have been left homeless by the fire.

No one was hurt.
