NORTHAMPTON, Mass (WWLP) - The Northwestern District Attorney's office has identified the bicyclist who was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Northampton Saturday night.

18 year old Harry Delmolino of Hadley remains in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center tonight.

At around 7:45 Saturday night he was riding his bike east on Main Street in downtown Northampton.

A car driven by Celso Avelar, 43, of Northampton, turned left onto Pleasant Street from Main Street, that's when the two collided.

Delmolino was hit and thrown off his bike onto the pavement.

The spokeswoman for the Northwestern DA's office told 22News he was not wearing a helmet.

The accident remains under investigation.
