HATFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Bicycle riders crisscrossing the Pioneer Valley Sunday were raising money and awareness for the Western Massachusetts Food Bank in Hatfield.
The bikers returned from their "Will Bike for Food" rides. They explained to people along their route that the Food Bank needs help, and now's the time to support them with their mission.
“Especially here helping out local people is especially important,” said Dale Staniskowski, a Food Bank Supporter. “Cold is coming soon. The more they can get now the easier for them during the winter.”
Some of the Food Bank's bicycle riding supporters traveled as much as 100 miles on the road through the four Western Massachusetts counties. Sunday's was the second annual "Will Bike for Food" bicycle ride.
