WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - Two brothers who were seriously injured in a car accident in Ware are now in stable condition.

Ware police officer Chris Desantis told 22News that Michael and Robert Slattery of Ware were seriously hurt in a one car accident Saturday night.

43-year-old Michael Slattery was driving, his 37-year-old brother was his passenger.  The brothers live on Osborne Road.  The accident occurred Saturday night a little after 9:00 near the intersection of Osborne Road and Crescent Street.  The car went over an embankment.

The brothers were taken by Life Flight Helicopter to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, where they are both in stable condition.

Officer Desantis told 22News speed may have been a factor, but the accident is still being investigated.
