NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday for the first of two new professional office buildings being built in Northampton.
The groundbreaking marks the start of phase one of the Northampton Professional Center on Atwood Drive. The development is located adjacent to the Clarion Inn and Conference Center.
According to a news release from the Mayor's office it's the most significant new office project to be proposed in Northampton in decades.
Ken Vincunas, a development associate, told 22News, “The project was designed for both medical and office of all kinds. It's a 3 story building for lease of anywhere from 2,500 to 30,000 square feet.”
The first building under construction is expected to be ready for occupancy later this year.
