NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Northampton Police have still not identified the man who was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened during a very busy hour in Northampton as hundreds of trick or treaters roamed the streets of the city.
Northampton Police say the 35-year-old was hit by a pick up truck shortly before 5pm. The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he was being treated for head injuries.
Theresa Cahill says she crosses this stretch of road and often times feels unsafe. Cahill told 22News pedestrian lights should be installed to alert drivers and slow them down.
Cahill said, “There was one time I was crossing this way, and a car was coming to the right and he didn't see me, and I saw the handle of his car. And it was close, so it is dangerous.”
The condition of the victim or if the driver will be charged is still unknown.
