NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A man from Southampton is unhurt after crashing his car into a Northampton convenience store late Friday morning.

Don DiGiammo said that he was getting a coffee at the Dunkin’ Donuts at the King Street pride station, when he got his foot stuck between the brake and gas pedal, and accidentally pushed the gas pedal, sending the car crashing into the store.

“I got it kind of stuck in between, and I went through the window and I drove back out, and everything come crashing down. I'm grateful, glad no one got hurt and it's no more than what happened,” DiGiammo said. “Sorry, but what can I say?”

No one inside the store was hurt.

DiGiammo says that it has been decades since he has been involved in any sort of accident, and he hasn’t even gotten a speeding ticket in about 30 years.

A spokeswoman for Pride told 22News that damages were estimated to be less than $5,000. They've already ordered new window panels, and are glad that nobody was hurt.
