EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - 37-year old Jeremy Wright of Easthampton was sentenced in Federal Court Wednesday to 17 years in prison for illegally dealing and possessing firearms.

According to a news release from the U.S. attorney's office, Wright received stolen firearms from homes in Westfield and Easthampton, and then traded them for crack cocaine and cash to a narcotics trafficker in Holyoke.

The U.S. attorney says Wright had been previously convicted of a felony, making his possession of the firearms illegal.
