GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) - Granby police are looking for a man they have linked to a series of car break-ins where a stolen ATV was used.
Granby Police Chief Alan Wishart notified 22News that they have a warrant for the arrest of 25 year-old Andrew Przybyla, who has temporarily been living in town at 332 Batchelor Street.
According to Wishart, there had been reports of several car break-ins in the Batchelor Street area over the last few weeks, in addition to a break-in at a barn that resulted in the theft of power tools.
Around the time the thefts began, one town resident reported a three-wheeled ATV stolen. As the crimes continued, ATV tracks were found in the area of the break-ins.
One resident also reported to police having seen someone riding an ATV similar to the one stolen near the area of the break-in. Wishart told 22News that the place where the rider was seen was the address where Przybyla has been staying.
Police began investigating the home, and Wishart says that once there, officers discovered the stolen ATV. He says they found several other items that had been reported as stolen, such as GPS units, a 36-inch chainsaw, and a laptop computer reported stolen from Putnam Vocational-Technical Academy in Springfield.
Przybyla is wanted on five counts of receiving stolen property.
