Owner escapes burning home in Granby

GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) - Firefighters from Granby and South Hadley worked for more than two hours to put out the flames at 312 Amherst Street in Granby.

Granby Fire Chief Russ Anderson told 22News at around 6:30 Wednesday night smoke and flames were seen shooting from the roof of a home.

The fire started on the first floor and burned into the roof.

The owner of the home was able to escape.

No word on what caused the fire.
